Despite Game 1 of Tuesday’s doubleheader setting a new record for the coldest MLB game on record (game time temp: 23 degrees), the Braves bats heated up in the thin air of Denver en route to a 2-game sweep.
Game 1 saw the Braves hit three home runs, with Evan Gattis’ 4th inning blast proving to be the game-winner in a 4-3 victory.
In the nightcap, it was all Atlanta- three more home runs in the night game led the Braves to a 10-2 rout of the Rockies.
Next up: Wednesday at Colorado, 3:10pm ET.
