A man and a woman are in jail after Albany police discovered a marijuana grow house while investigating another crime.
The police were call to investigate a possible home invasion in the 2300 block of Katy Court. When officers looked inside the home, they say marijuana throughout.
Officers from the Albany Dougherty Drug Unit were called in, and agents found a sizable grow operation in the attic. Six plants were found along with growing materials and piping to hide the odor.
Investigators say it is unusual to find a grow house in such a tight living area.
According to agents, the street value of the confiscated plants is about a thousand dollars apiece.
