Fire officials say a blaze that broke out in an apartment above a downtown Tifton restaurant may be a case of arson. The fire broke out around 10 Thursday night above the La Cabana on Main Street.

The restaurant was evacuated, and one resident of the apartment was able to escape. He was transported to Tift Regional Medical Center.

While the cause of the fire is unknown, fire officials say they have not ruled out arson. Read more from WALB here.
