VALDOSTA, GA – The City of Valdosta Public Works Department, Keep Lowndes/Valdosta Beautiful, and Atlanta Recycling Solutions will be hosting an Electronics Recycling Event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 9th, at the Mathis City Auditorium, 2300 N. Ashley Street. Residents can drop off various electronic items at the event ranging from cell phones to floppy disk to computers to VCRs. The volunteers will take everything for free except for televisions which will have a $10 charge per television to cover the costs of disassembling the television for parts. Also the following items will not be accepted at the event: vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, washers, dryers, gas-powered equipment,non-electronic equipment, and other non-recyclable items.
