“We want to incorporate everybody and not necessarily the Black family reunion but a community wide family reunion,” said Sharah Denton, NCNW President. “Under the vision to have all organizations of the community come together on this day to celebrate family.”

There will be games, live entertainment and activities for the entire family. The giveaways include a pair of Wild Adventures tickets, a free weekend rental from Enterprise Rent A Car and free groceries from Second Harvest Food Bank.

“Our goal is to have something that is a community festival,” said Sharah Denton, NCNW President. “Something that people from surrounding counties would want to come celebrate.”

Local food vendors will be on site, along with organizations to provide resources on various issues within the community.

“Even though the name may throw people off, it’s not about race or gender,” said Sharah Denton, NCNW President. “It’s about growth of the community, resources and targeting issues that affect the community.”
