Valdosta, GA – This Saturday, Wild Adventures Theme Park partners with Lowndes County Animal Shelter for the opening day of the park’s newest summer show, K-9s in Flight, to help find “fur-ever” homes for homeless dogs in the community. K-9s in Flight is a high flying show featuring four legged friends who have all been rescued or adopted and begins this Saturday and runs through July 6.
The pet adoption event will take place in the park’s ticket courtyard this Saturday, June 8 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. “We appreciate community partners, like Wild Adventures, who team up with us for Lowndes County Animal Welfare pet adoptions,” said Lowndes County Animal Shelter spokesperson Paige Dukes. “The Lowndes County Animal Shelter is one of the only public shelters in the area, providing shelter care and animal welfare enforcement.
Due to the over population of pets in Lowndes County, any opportunity to find these animals their “fur-ever” homes is appreciated.” Wild Adventures’ newest show, K9s in Flight, showcases the athletic ability of man’s best friend with dock diving, high diving and Frisbee catching. All of the K9s in Flight stars have been rescued or adopted from shelters all over the country. The show also educates guests about the importance of pet adoption, exercise, nutrition and the special bond between humans and dogs.
