Unidentified Drones Light Up Nebraska Nights

Share with friends

For the past week, citizens of Phillips and Yuma County in Nebraska have been treated to a mysterious light show as about 20 drones would rise to the skies. According to Markets Insider, the Federal Aviation Administration had no clue where the drones were from. Representatives for the Air Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the US Army Forces Command also denied ownership of these unclaimed aircraft.

The unified flight pattern of the drones all but confirms a relationship to each other. Phillips County Sheriff Thomas Elliot referred to it as “a grid pattern” when speaking with The Denver Post.

Whereas this unified night-flight is odd, it’s by no means illegal nor criminal. Vic Moss, a drone flight photographer, also spoke with Denver Post saying, ” We have a number of drone companies here in Colorado, and they’re very innovative… So maybe they’re testing something of theirs out in that area because it is very rural… [Local drone groups] all very much want people to understand drones and not cause this kind of hysteria.”
