TIFTON – Elvis Tribute Artist Matt Stone and the TEC Band are coming to the Tift Theatre for a live performance.
ELVIS Will be BACK In The Building At The Tift Theatre
One of Graceland’s own Top Ten Elvis Tribute Artists on the planet, Matt Stone & his TEC Band are coming to the Tift Theatre on October 7th!
Seen by many as one of the most authentic Elvis productions in the world, audiences of all ages will be mesmerized by Matt’s portrayal of the King in his prime: young, agile, and with the voice of a lion!
He has even earned the approval of Elvis’ friends and family, who have said:
“When I heard [Matt]… now if I close my eyes that’s Elvis. It touched my heart. The only person I ever heard sing like that was my brother, and [Matt] was real close—SCARY— that’s how close it was.” Billy Stanley (Elvis’ Step Brother)
“Matt is incredibly gifted & handsome, with incredible energy and sex appeal.” Joyce Bova (Longtime Elvis Girlfriend)
Matt has even been heard on SiriusXM’s ELVIS RADIO!
With most fans being endlessly disappointed by cheesy Elvis impersonators, who dwindle the best-selling solo artist of all time into nothing more than a Halloween costume and a lip curl, this nationally-acclaimed concert is changing the game!
Tickets are available on eventbrite.com. The show starts at 8:00pm.

THOMASVILLE – The 2023 AKC Master National Retriever Event has selected Thomasville as the host for the event this October.
The 2023 AKC Master National Retriever Event will bring over 1,200 dogs, hundreds of dog handlers and spectators from around the country to the Thomasville area.
While Thomasville is no stranger to dog events, this National Event continues to be the largest American Kennel Club Performance Event in the county. And this year, over 1,500 dogs are expected to enter making it the largest Performance Event in AKC History! The Master National will be held October 26 until November 5.
According to the Master National Retriever Club the event brings in $5-7 Million to the local economy including hotels, restaurants, shopping, businesses, and advertising. Handlers and spectators from around the country will stay at local hotels, eat at local restaurants and shop at local businesses throughout the event.
The competition runs for eleven days but dog handlers arrive at least a week before the event for training.
The event is co-hosted by the Tallahassee Hunting Retriever Club and the Wire Grass Hunting Retriever Club of Georgia. Beckey Malphus, DVM of Thomasville will serve as the Event Chair. “I am very excited to have this event here again, we hosted the Master National back in 2003. The popularity of this event has grown tremendously and it is overwhelming, but it is worth it to bring such an economic boost to our area and local businesses”.
While retrievers who are entered into the event must qualify to compete, spectators are invited to watch the dogs run. If you would like to help at the event, volunteers are always needed. Contact Beckey Malphus at 229-226-1914.
This National Retriever Event moves across the country into the four time zone areas. Dogs are judged against a standard, and based on how many entries they will be divided into Flights, each flight judged by two judges. It is anticipated that there will be eight flights of dogs with a total of 16 judges. The judges represent the four regions of the country.
While hotel lodging and restaurants are centered in Thomasville, the properties used for the competition will be predominately in the Boston and Pavo area.
If you are interested in renting your home before or duing the event please contact Jeannie Ferguson at 850-508-5451 or email: mailto:tallahasseehuntingretri
Participants will most likely be here during October and November. Please note, that your home does not necessarily need to be dog friendly.
