Callaway at Brooks County
Once again, the Brooks County Trojans used a great defensive effort to shut down the powerful Dodge County Indians and advance to the state quarterfinals, where they will host the once-beaten Callaway Cavaliers Friday night. Callaway will bring an explosive offense into Veterans Stadium, averaging 37 points per game and scoring at least 26 points in every game this year. Brooks County will counter with a stifling defense that has allowed just over 9.5 points per game. And running back Jonathan White is coming off of his biggest outing of the season, running for 293 yards and three touchdowns in the Trojans’ 35-17 win over Dodge County. The Trojans have been very tough at home in the playoffs, sporting a 14-2 playoff record in Quitman in the last 10 years.
