TIFT COUNTY, Ga – District 2 School Board member John Smith has passed away, according to Tift County Schools.

The longtime educator was the vice-chairman for the Tift County School Board.

“Throughout his career, his service impacted countless students and educators,” Tift County Schools wrote in a Facebook post.
