MOULTRIE — The conviction and life sentence of a Moultrie man for murdering his ex-girlfriend was upheld by the Georgia Supreme Court.

Mack Trimble, Jr. asked for a third trial after he was found guilty of murder and aggravated assault in 2006 and 2011 of Cegi Hall.

The judge sentenced Trimble to life in prison plus 10 years for the June 2005 shooting death of Hall. She was the mother of Trimble’s child.

Trimble was granted a new trial in 2011 because it was revealed that one of the jurors in his first trial had lost a child to murder.
