VALDOSTA, GA – The name of the man killed in the fiery crash on I-75 Saturday has been released.
The Georgia State Patrol said 43 year old T.L. Whitt from Winter Springs, Florida was driving the semi. Whitt was driving in the middle lane of I-75 when he veered into a support beam of the bridge for Exit 13 around 2:00 p.m. Saturday. The truck then caught fire, and shut down both north and south bound lanes of traffic for hours.
The Department of Transportation is still assessing damages. All lanes of I-75 have been reopened.
