turner fieldMiami, FL- On paper, the matchup hardly seemed fair for the Miami Marlins- a team that went through a massive fire-sale over the past 12 months against a Braves team that added a pair of Uptons with young stars in the lineup.

In the end, it was the pitching for Paul Maholm that propelled the Braves to a win on Tuesday night. For the second time this year and the fifth since being acquired from the Chicago Cubs last year, the crafty lefty shut out his opponents.

Justin Upton added a solo HR, his sixth of the season, en route to a 2-0 Braves victory.
