WALB is reporting that investigators with the Adel PD and Berrien County Sheriff’s Office are looking into a possible kidnapping that began last night in Ray City.

Investigators are looking for 42-year old Charles Heard. Officials say he went to a home on Jones Street in Ray City around 6 Friday morning and raped a woman inside the house.

A 911 caller told dispatchers that Heard kidnapped the woman and drove off in her 2010 gray Nissan Altima. Heard then drove to Adel with the woman where she escaped, however, his crime spree was not over.

Heard then allegedly shot one man, Corby Traylor, at his home on Kennedy Drive in Adel. Traylor was taken to SGMC with non-life threatening injuries.
