Valdosta Wiregrass President To Take Over At Lanier Tech

wiregrass logoValdosta, GA- The current president of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College in Valdosta will be leaving to take over the top spot at Lanier Tech. Ray Perren was chosen by a unanimous vote at a Thursday meeting of Technical College System of Georgia.

Perren has served at Wiregrass since 2009 and will take over for Russel Vandiver, who is retiring after 37 years of service. Prior to working with the system, Perren was dean of academic affairs of DeVry University and superintendent of the Paulding County School System.

The other finalists for the job were Joanne Tolleson, vice president of institutional effectiveness and operations at Lanier Tech, and Jamie Loyd, vice president of economic development at Columbus Technical College in Columbus.
