Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Kappa Eta Omega Chapter Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Day: October 1, 2018
The Kappa Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is a local non-profit organization that sponsors health initiatives in the Valdosta/Lowndes County community and has done so for more than 40 years. To achieve this particular goal, the women of Kappa Eta Omega are encouraging the citizens of the Valdosta area to wear “PINK”, the color of Breast Cancer Awareness, in the community and their respective work places on Monday, October 1, 2018. This will help encourage women in the Valdosta community to be aware and informed about the importance of early detection through breast cancer screenings and mammogram testing. If you or your organization or agency would like to support this worthy cause by wearing “PINK” and wanting to make a monetary donation to help support Breast Cancer Awareness and the Pearlman Cancer Center, please contact Kappa Eta Omega Chapter’s Health Promotions Committee Chair, Regina Marshall at (229)-630-3362.
