40 cats killed in Thomasville house fire

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Officials in Thomasville responded to a house fire on Friday that killed dozens of animals.

The Thomasville Police Department reported the fire engulfed a home at 101 Royal Avenue and that approximately 40 cats were killed in the blaze.

The owner of the home reportedly takes in orphan cats and cats who can no longer be cared for by their owners.

Four cats survived the fire.
