Deputies investigating armed robbery in Madison County

MADISON CO., Fla. – The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at the AC Food Mart in Greenville, Florida.

Chief Deputy Epp Richardson says the robbery happened around 8:51 a.m. on Saturday, June 3 at the AC Food Mart located at 13689 West US 90.

Surveillance video showed a black male entering the store wearing dark clothing and a dark-colored garment covering his face. The suspect pointed a black hand gun at the clerk and demanded money from the register.

The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, and the suspect then fled on foot. The Sheriff’s Office says no one in the store was injured.

A police dog tracked the suspect to the Haffy Hayes Park. Witnesses at the park described a black male running from the area and getting into a silver sedan, which headed east on US 90.

This case is actively under Investigation by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and any persons with information relating to this crime is encouraged to contact the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at 850-973-4001.
