GREENVILLE, Fla. – A suspect arrested in connection to a shooting last Monday in Greenville is now facing upgraded charges.
19-year-old Willie Bernard Hamilton was originally charged with two counts of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and introduction of contraband into a county detention facility.
The April 10 shooting sent two people to the hospital.
The Madison County Sheriff’s office says Hamilton is now being charged with two counts of attempted felony murder and one count of robbery with a firearm.
MCSO says during the investigation, authorities developed probable cause to upgrade Hamilton’s charges.
He remains in custody at the Madison County Jail.
