PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Valdosta State golf team closed out competition with an eighth place finish at the Argonaut Invitational in Pensacola, Fla. on Tuesday.

The par 72 course at Pensacola Country Club saw the host West Florida Argonauts claim the top finish with an 18-under 558 score over the course of the two round tournament, which was reduced by one round after a surge of inclement weather on Monday.

The Blazers now turn their attention to the GSC Championship, which will open up in Pine Mountain, Ga. on Sunday, April 23 at 8:00 a.m.
