Alpha Warrior Challenge comes to Moody Air Force Base

| April 26, 2017

VALDOSTA – The Alpha Warrior Challenge stopped at Moody Air Force Base on Wednesday.

It’s touring across the country all year, and has already visited 14 military bases.

Dozens of people lined up to attempt to finish the obstacle course.

Not all made it, but Abbey Wilkins did; in under two minutes.

Out of all 14 bases, she’s the first female competitor to complete the course.

Wilkins says beauty is strength, and is encouraging more women to step up to the challenge.

“It’s pretty intimidating to a lot of females to do stuff like this,” says Wilkins. “I always just encourage my peers and cadets to get out and try something. I’ve never done something like this before. I’ve never been on an obstacle course, but what’s the harm in trying?

“Get out there, try to do something different, and blaze the trail for the people behind you,” says Wilkins.

After the event, the Alpha Warrior team will pack and head off to a long list other military bases.
