LHS Dominates at Region Literary Meet

LOWNDES Co. – Lowndes High School won Region Literary in division 1AAAAAAA.

LHS had 1st place finishes in Boys Solo (Bryce Mixon), Girls Solo (Joley Peterman), Boys Quartet (Cameron Williams, Nycholas Lewis, Arther Rogers, and Josh Bishop), Girls Trio (Autumn Wilbright, Paige Pickett, Teagan Williams), Literary Critique Essay (Mary Catherine Stamey), Domestic Extemp Speech (Jack Crawford), International Relations Extemp (Adam Orr), Dramatic Interpretation (Riley Davis), and Humorous Dramtic Interpretation (Kristen Broyles). Those students will advance to state competition.

Second place finishes went to Expository Essay (Ashlyn Simons), Argumentative Essay (Hannah Shult), and Dramatic Duo Interpretation (Cydia Walker & Camden Burrous). Those will not advance to state, but they did contribute to our point total.
