FBI, Atlanta PD offer $10,000 reward for murder suspect

ATLANTA – David J. LeValley, Special Agent in Charge, FBI Atlanta Field Office, in conjunction with Erika Shields, Chief of Police, Atlanta P.D., request the public’s assistance in its efforts to locate Dwight Lewis, charged with murder by Atlanta P.D. for the February 2, 2017 homicide of a 16 year old girl.

On Thursday, February 2, 2017, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Dwight Lewis is alleged to have fired several rounds from his semi-automatic handgun, as part of an altercation, into a vehicle with a 16 year old female inside. The 16 year old female was struck and died from her injuries. The shooting occurred at the Deerfield Gardens Apartments located at 2909 Campbellton Road S.W., Atlanta.

Lewis is described as being a black male, 26 years of age, 6’5” in height, 200 lbs., black hair and brown eyes.

This case is being worked by the Atlanta Police Department and the FBI Atlanta Field Office.
