VALDOSTA – Police are asking the public’s help in locating a man wanted for the armed robbery of a Valdosta business Sunday morning.

At approximately 4:40 a.m., the Valdosta Police Department responded to an emergency call for service from Unique Kollections at 1412 East Park Avenue.

“The victim reported that the business had just been robbed and indicated an African American male subject had entered the business with a gun, demanding money,” said VPD Lt. Adam Bembry. “The store employee advised that the offender pointed the gun at her and made a threat of violence before snatching an undisclosed amount of money from the clerk.”

VPD officers began a search but were unable to locate the offender.

“After accessing the video surveillance, an officer was able to identify Tyler Morrison after having had previous encounters with him,” said Bembry.

An arrested warrant has been issued for Tyler Cortez Morrison, 25, for armed robbery, reports stated.

“If anyone has additional information on this case or has contact with the suspect, please contact E-911 immediately,” said Bembry.
