Valdosta police searching for armed robbery suspect

crime scene tape blue backgroundVALDOSTA – At approximately 2:30 p.m., a business in the 500 block of South Patterson Street called E-911 to report an armed robbery.

It was reported that an African American male entered the business with some type of weapon and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled the area.

Valdosta Police Department K-9 are on the scene currently searching for the suspect and Detectives have also responded to the scene to assist in the investigation. The suspect was described by witnesses as an African American male dressed in all black.

No injuries have been reported.

“Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Valdosta Police Department,” said VPD Lt. Adam Bembry.
