MADISON, Fla. – A 14-year-old is in critical condition after an accident in Madison County Wednesday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the teenage boy was driving a Chevy Cavalier on County Road 140 through the intersection of US 221 when a second vehicle traveling south through the intersection struck the Cavalier around 7:45 p.m.

The teen was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare and is charged with driving without a license, driving without a vehicle registration, driving without proof of insurance, and failing to yield.

The teen’s name has not been released due to the fact that he’s a minor.

FHP says 48-year-old Abigail Ellis was in the other vehicle and was treated for minor injuries.
