REMERTON – Open auditions are being held this week for the pilot episode of a new reality television show filming in Remerton.

“On the Rocks” is produced by Cold Feet Films from Atlanta and will follow bar runner Heath Cox as he simultaneously operates three bars in Remerton.

“All the bars are right next to each other on the same strip: Bluewater Bar, Milltown Groove and Flip Flops,” said Mark Mongell, co-founder of Cold Feet Films and a Valdosta State University alumnus. “Heath has a lot of exciting and cool stuff that happens at the bars. We are going to be following the staff at every bar, and we are going to show what that life is all about.”

“It’s not scripted reality,” said Joe Rollins Cold Feet Films other co-founder. “Heath is presented with a lot of daily obstacles that he has to through that we think people would be interested in seeing. We aren’t aiming for any petty drama. We are looking for the real issues of having to deal with these three bars.”

To help film the pilot episode, Mongell and Rollins are hosting casting calls Thursday through Saturday at Bluewater Bar at 1905 Baytree Place from noon until 4 p.m. and then from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“We are looking for anyone who is interested. We are looking for people who consider themselves unique or interesting in anyway. If you think your life is worth sharing, you should give it a try,” said Rollins.

“We want Valdosta to look good,” Mongell said.
