Men’s Cross Country Captures Seventh Place at UAH Meet

 HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Valdosta State men’s cross country team landed a seventh place finish at the Alabama-Huntsville Chargers Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning in Huntsville, Ala.

The Blazers claimed 168 points during the 8k race which carried out a seventh place finish out of 15 teams.

Jaison Morning (26:51.34) and Michael Perona (26:53.70) shined as the dynamic duo for the Blazers as they claimed a 22ndand 24th finish, respectively. Gavin Childers stayed within distance as he finished the race with an overall time of 27:01.78 for 26th place. Connor Dalrymple stayed in the middle of the pack as he finished 52nd with a total time of 28:26.95. Maxwell Steele (28:41.05), Andrew Elam (29:24.05), and Caleb Griffin finished strong which produced a 56th, 72nd, and 76th finish and allowed the Blazers to capture seventh place overall.

Next up for Valdosta State is the St. Leo Pre-Nationals Meet in Tampa, Fla. The race is scheduled for October 8 at 7:30 a.m.
