“Have a Heart for the Homeless” seeks donations

VALDOSTA – It is the mission of South Georgia Partnership to End Homelessness to support and strengthen the community by providing housing and supportive services to people who are homeless, or at risk, and to advocate for collaborative, driven solutions to end homelessness.

The 8th annual “Have a Heart for the Homeless” event will be November 5, 2016, at Olympic Park, 402 S Patterson Street, Valdosta, GA from 10:00am until 2:00pm.   This event helps us to help our homeless population prepare themselves for the cold weather that is ahead by providing winter items such as:

  • JACKETS/COATS/SWEATERS
  • SCARVES/GLOVES/HATS
  • HOODS/HATS
  • BLANKETS
  • PERSONAL HYGIENE ITEMS
  • SOCKS/SHOES
  • PANTS/SWEATSHIRTS

Drop off locations for said items are as follows:

  • Valdosta Fire Department (all locations)
  • Ringside Fitness (3338-C Unit 1 Country Club Dr)
  • SGPEH (601 N Lee Street)
  • Big Nick’s (904 Baytree Rd)

Deadline for dropping off items is November 1, 2016.
