Shootings leave one dead, injure two

LAKELAND — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating Friday night shootings in Lakeland that left one dead and two injured.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., the the Lake Police Department responded to 75 East Peeler Ave. in response to a reported shooting, according to GBI reports.

Officers reportedly arrived to find Willis Lamar Flintroyal, 32, and Schalonda Beatrice Johnson, 32, with gunshot wounds.

Flintroyal was transported to South Georgia Medical Center in Lakeland by family members and was later pronounced dead.

Johnson was also transported to SGMC Lakeland by family members for treatment of  a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

While at the scene, officers reportedly heard gunshots and responded to the area of MLK Jr. Drive and 8th Street to find Lewis S. Geddie, 20, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Geddie was transported to SGMC Valdosta.

Flintroyal’s body has been transprted to the GBI Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy.
