Moody AFB relocates aircraft before Hermine arrives

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE (WCTV Eyewitness News) – Moody Air Force Base has relocated its aircraft in preparation for Hurricane Hermine.

Hermine is expected to make landfall Thursday night into early Friday.

Officials say the base is not currently evacuating any personnel, but all non-mission essential personnel have been released until standard operations resume at 8 a.m. Saturday.

Officials say those personnel will remain on-call.

Moody AFB officials are encouraging everyone to monitor the hurricane and prepare accordingly.
