Fire fighters battle blaze at Langboard Facility

QUITMAN – Fire crews responded to a fire early Monday morning at Langboard Facility in Quitman.

At approximately 1 a.m., a large fire was seen coming from the shipping and receiving facility on Highway 84. The facility manufactures wood products.

The fire had been contained by 5 a.m., reports WALB.

    This is a weekly event. Why cover it now? You won’t see this in the Valdosta Times. That’s for sure.

    The only reason the Valdosta Times ran this story is the Langdales said it was ok for whatever reason.

    They have a fire out there at least once a month, yet rarely goes reported.
