4 teens charged in Colquitt Co. burglaries

COLQUITT Co. -The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office arrested four teenagers for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of items from multiple homes and firing shots while being chased by a concerned neighbor.

Three 16-year-old juveniles and one 15-year-old were arrested. Investigators said they broke into at least five homes in Colquitt County and were caught after driving away from a home and being followed by a neighbor. The neighbor broke of the chase after shots were fired from a stolen gun.

The four teens were later found at a residence by a Moultrie police officer who happened to be working a detail across the street.

Investigators found several stolen items inside the car and the home. The sheriff’s office is working to return the stolen items.

The suspects are currently being held at the Regional Youth Detention Center.
