ATLANTA – Several new Georgia laws take effect today.

Students on Georgia’s public college and university campuses who are at least 18 years old will now be legally able to carry Tasers and stun guns.

Anyone under the age of 21 will no longer be allowed to enter a bar in Georgia unless accompanied by a 21-year-old guardian or spouse or if they have purchased a ticket to a concert.

Cancer patients will now be allowed to seek aggressive treatment programs like the one that helped President Jimmy Carter.
