BRYAN Co. – Bryan County’s district attorney will not prosecute the trucking company involved in the crash that killed five Georgia Southern nursing students, last spring.

The DA dropped the charges against Mississippi-based Total Transportation on Wednesday, after the company established a scholarship fund in honor of the victims.

While the criminal charges have been dismissed for the corporation, the driver himself will still face trial. He’s charged with five counts of vehicular homicide, among other charges, and is scheduled to be in court July 14.
