VALDOSTA – Pinwheels Quilting & Needlework is excited to announce that the shop will be expanding and moving next door to the old Simply Silver location in July.

Pinwheels Quilting & Needlework at 357 Northside Drive is home to a broad range of designer fabrics. Its attractive medley of colors and prints are suitable for any traditional or modern-day quilting project. At Pinwheels, you’ll also find a variety of sewing notions, quilting tools, yarn, books and patterns to meet your creative needs.

Ginger, owner of Pinwheels, is a lifelong sewer and crafter. She spent most of her years sewing and crafting as a hobby until retirement. With a little more time on her hands, she signed up for a quilting class and was instantly hooked.

“After I retired about two years ago, I took a quilting class and I couldn’t stop,” said Ginger. “I enjoyed it so much, I thought maybe I should start a quilting business, and now I’m here.”

In addition to carrying premium quality fabrics, sewing notions, quilting supplies and notions, Pinwheels Quilting & Needlework offers sewing classes for quilters of all skill levels. The store features a fun environment where friends and fellow stitchers can gather to learn new techniques, share ideas and socialize.

A variety of classes are being offered for beginners, tablerunners, jigsaw t-shirt quilts, pillowcases and zipper bags.

Pinwheels Quilting & Needlework invites the community to join them on Tuesday nights to help sew for the Quilts of Valor. The quilts are being presented to show honor to those in service. The store is also in hopes of providing quilts to The Haven.

For more information visit or call the store at (229) 232-4531. You may also find them on Facebook and Pinterest at Pinwheels Quilting & Needlework.
