VALDOSTA – The Valdosta-Lowndes Parks and Recreation Authority is reminding parents about all the fun activities VLPRA offers during summer.

VLPRA offers three summer programs to choose from that are sure to keep your child entertained:

1) Summer Safari (A Monday thru Friday day program that runs all summer long starting May 23rd.  Open to kids 5-12 years old.  Locations: South Lowndes Recreation Complex in Lake Park and the Mildred Hunter Community Center in Valdosta.  VLPRA also has a program for children with disabilities ages 5-21 years old specifically at South Lowndes).

2) Kids Kitchen (A one-week day camp where your child will feel like an Iron Chef!  Offered July 18-22nd.  Space is extremely limited and this award-winning program is hugely popular, so don’t wait to register!  Location: Craig Center in Valdosta).

3) Tennis Camps (Two available.  Session 1 is June 6th-10th and session 2 is July 11th-15th.  Camps are half day and are held at the McKey Park Tennis Courts.  Open to 4-12 year olds).

You can find more information on these programs at www.vlpra.com.  Just click “Register Online” at the right of the screen to go to our online catalog.  Then click the “Summer Programs” tab to see all of our summer offerings.
