VALDOSTA – Three people have been indicted for throwing Molotov cocktails at a residence in south Lowndes County.

On Friday, a grand jury in the Superior Court of Lowndes County indicted Cody Allen Cooper, Elizabeth Elaine Cooper and Daniel Graham for arson in the first degree. Graham was also charged with terroristic threats, according to court documents.

A trial on the charges will be set at a later date.

The charges stem from an August 13 incident in which multiple Molotov cocktails were thrown at a home on Camellia Drive South.

Lowndes County Fire Rescue extinguished the fire and discovered multiple points of origin, reports stated.

While out on bond, Cody Allen Cooper was involved in a two vehicle accident in Pinetta, Florida in September. The incident killed a 77-year-old woman and seriously injured a 55-year-old man. Cooper and a five-year-old girl were also injured in the wreck. Investigators determined Cooper failed to stay in his lane, causing the accident, according to reports.
