Ted Cruz 2

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz ended his campaign for the Republican nomination Tuesday night, CBS News’ Major Garrett has confirmed, effectively ensuring Donald Trump will become the GOP’s standard-bearer in 2016.

Cruz conceded the race at an event in Indianapolis following the results of Tuesday’s Indiana primary, which Trump won handily. CBS News called the race for Trump right at 7 p.m., when the polls closed; with 72 percent of precincts reporting in Indiana, Trump led Cruz by 16 points, 53 percent to 37 percent.

I remember saying this months ago that the GOP would never nominate a woman, black, hispanic, cuban or anything other than an a old white man and I had everyone saying I was wrong screaming about Carson and Rubio and I said then you will see and now just look at what they have a orange clown

LOL I’m mostly Caucasian and voted for Rubio in the primary, preferred Carson, but his run had fizzled by then. Would’ve been happy with Jeb, Kasich, Carson or Rubio, thought a Carson/Rubio ticket would be good. My laughter is because you said “orange clown.” All he needs to do now is select Chris Christie as a running mate and they can campaign as Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
