Strong winds uproot trees, knock out power, damage homes in Stone Creek

VALDOSTA – Strong winds from a Tuesday evening storm that swept through south Georgia down trees and knocked out power to some neighborhoods.

Residents of Stone Creek near Interstate 75 Exit 22 reported power outages lasting a few hours and strong winds which down several trees and damaged some homes.

Some residents who have posted images of the aftermath to social media sites described seeing a tornado, but those reports have not been confirmed.
