Malcolm Mitchell to appear on “Steve Harvey” today

| April 27, 2016

ATLANTA – Tune-in to “Steve Harvey” on Wenesday, April 27 as Steve welcomes Malcolm Mitchell, a 22-year-old star football player at the University of Georgia and a former Valdosta Wildcat, who’s expected to be drafted by the NFL this week.

Malcolm is also a children’s book author (“The Magician’s Hat”) and advocate for youth reading. Malcolm tells Steve how he fostered his own love for reading, and about a chance encounter with a woman at a book store, that landed him in a book club full of women his grandmother’s age.

Now in addition to being a football superstar, Malcolm also encourages children to reach their full potential through reading.

When Steve Harvey asks Malcolm what his message is for kids, Malcolm responds, “You can be whatever you want to be. You can accomplish whatever goal you visualize for yourself and you have the capability to achieve whatever it is. And every time you open a book and flip a page, you’re getting a step closer.”
