Tifton offers reward in murder case

TIFTON – The City of Tifton is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder of Verlethe Evette Brown, 36.

Brown was shot several times on Feb. 25 at the South College Mobile Home Park. She was flown to a hospital in Macon where she later died.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Sylvester Office at (229) 777-2080 or the Tifton Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at (229) 382-3132.
