Bumble Bee Foods recalls ‘Chunk Light’ tuna

| March 18, 2016

ATLANTA – Bumble Bee Foods has recalled three production codes of canned ‘Chunk Light’ tuna products due to possible health risk

The nationwide recall includes canned Chunk Light tuna by Bumble Bee Foods, LLC, totaling 31,579 cases of product.

The products were produced in Feb. 2016 and will be marked with a can code that starts with a “T” (example: TOA2BSCAFB), and includes specific best-buy dates.

The recall is due to process deviations that could result in contamination by spoilage organisms or pathogens, which could lead to life-threatening illness if consumed. There have been no reports of illness to date.
