VALDOSTA – Valdosta State University has announced a 2 Chainz concert as a part of a spring concert series.

The concert is set for April 15. However, there aren’t many details at this time, reports WALB.

The Valdosta Board of Education is considering VSU’s request to use Bazemore-Hyder Stadium for the event, but an agreement for VSU to pay $7,000 to rent the facility between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. has not been finalized. Board members expressed concerns about vehicles damaging the grass on Cleveland Field, reports the Valdosta Daily Times.

Board members are expected to vote on whether to approve the contact on March 22.

  1. Steve says:

Property owners are going to have a lot more than damaged grass to worry about if you allow this act into Valdosta.

    • Robert says:

Agreed. The crowd that this concert will attract have no respect for prperty or anything else. Grass will definitely not be the only thing damaged. They need to charge more than $7k for renting as the repairs will be much more.

      • infearofablackplanet says:

yeah like the klan rally they had at the complex a few weeks ago with Donald Duck

    • Sara says:

Everything that happens at a 2 Chainz concert already happens in Valdosta. Drugs, Sex, and Profanity. What’s new?
      Don’t be a Debbie Downer.

    • John W. says:

What exactly are you insinuating about “this act” and the effects of it coming to Valdosta?

  2. whitesavage says:

Steve these concerts happen all over the world so what makes you think that when they come here something will happen news flash they come here often and perform at clubs so go back to your klan Trump rally

  3. Eric "Da Blacksheep" TrixNDix says:

Google the “Artist” and see what “music” he makes and you will see a lot more than grass damage as the thugs and thuggettes come out in force.

  4. jerry freeman says:

I disagree with Steve. I think it’s good for VSU and the city of Valdosta to see more events like the Trump Rally and concerts of top acts to take place in Valdosta. If marketed Valdosta could easily become a destination city. Hats off to VSU. Now lets build a world class arena to hold all the unlimited events that’s willing to come to Valdosta if we only had a place to house them.

    • Sal Monroe says:

“a destination city” ? thanks for the laugh jerry

“Hey kids…guess what we’re doin’ this summer? Goin’ to Valdosta GA….YEE HOWDY DANDY !!

      • whitesavage says:

Where will you be going Sal
Valdosta has all the potential to make lots of money we are right on the interstate we are close to major airports heck I bet if we tried we could probably get a bowl game at martin stadium a small one but at least it would bring cash into this city
