Valdosta Middle School Takes First Place in Annual Math Counts Competition

VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Middle School Math Team won first place overall at the annual Math Counts competition at Mathis City Auditorium.

Albert Kang, Zoe Martin, Olivia Ellis, and Kathryn Plumb, as a team, took first place overall.  In the individual competition, Albert Kang won first place and Zoe Martin won third place.

Other schools competing included Hahira Middle, Pine Grove Middle, Lowndes Middle, and Valwood.

Students representing Valdosta Middle School at the competition were Albert Kang, Zoe Martin, Olivia Ellis, Kathryn Plumb, Beth Anne Thornton, Owen Anderson, Karsyn Boyd, Reese Adams, Eli Herring and Caitlyn Herring.
