Two shootings in Moultrie leave one dead, one injured

MOULTRIE – One man died and another was injured in two separate shooting incidents Tuesday afternoon in Moultrie.

At approximately 3:10 p.m., police responded to a shooting on Seventh Street Southwest. The male victim of the shooting died at the scene, but authorities have not released his identity, reports WALB.

While police were investigating the shooting, five gunshots rang out nearby. Approximately a quarter of a mile away, a man was shot and injured in the 100 block of Fourth Street Southwest, reports the Moultrie Observer.

The second shooting victim was transferred to Macon Hospital for treatment.

Investigators with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation have not yet determined if the two shootings are related.
