Tornado Watch in effect for Lowndes, Brooks, Cook and other South Georgia counties

VALDOSTA – The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a Tornado Watch until 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.

A Tornado Watch means atmospheric conditions have created a significant risk of a tornado.

The watch went into effect at shortly after 8 p.m. for the following Georgia counties:
