MOULTRIE – A Pavo woman was arrested Saturday after reportedly colliding with a car on Veterans Parkway, driving with an open container and leaving the scene of the accident.

Tammy Michaelle Suber, 38, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, following too closely, open container violation, leaving the scene of an accident and driving while license withdrawn, reports The Moultrie Observer.

Suber reportedly driving a Lincoln Town Car when she rear-ended a Toyota Corolla which was stopped at the Magnolia Lane Southeast intersection.

The driver of the Corolla pulled to the side of the road while the Lincoln continued driving north. The Corolla driver took a photo of the car’s tag and reported it to police.

Suber was later stopped by officers at the Holmes Drive intersection.

When the officer conducted the traffic stop, Suber reported stopped on the opposite side of the road in the opposite turning lane, facing on-coming traffic. She also reportedly reached for the gear shift and threw a bottle of whiskey on the floorboard after the officer knocked on her car’s window.
