Jurors hand down conviction in Cordele murder trial

CORDELE – Jurors deliberated for only a few hours Wednesday afternoon before coming back with a guilty verdict for the man charged with killing another man during a home burglary.

Keontay Miller and Conardo Dennard were arrested for the 2015 shooting death of Tellis Fort.

Miller was found guilty of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, reports WFXL.

Miller will be sentenced March 2 and could face life without parole.

Dennard previously pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole.
