Two men lead deputies on foot pursuit, car chase

DOUGLAS – Two men were arrested s last week in Douglas last week after running from officers serving a probation violation warrant.

On Wednesday, deputies with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve an arrest warrant for Zachery Ryan White art a residence on Chester Williams Road. After arriving at the residence, officers reportedly saw on man run through the woods and another drive off in a white Lincoln Town Car. One deputy chased the man through the wooded area, and another pursued the Lincoln in a patrol car.

Robert James Anderson was arrested shortly after he fled into the woods. Officers reportedly found two packages of methamphetamine. Anderson was charged with obstruction or hindering a law enforcement officer and possession of methamphetamine, reports WALB.

White was arrested after leading deputies on a 10-mile chase in the Lincoln Town Car. Deputies caught up with White on Georgia Highway 32 East near Dan Duran Road. White was charged with probation violation, felony fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer and several traffic violations, reports stated.
